Local Pest Control Is An Essential Service

You unfortunately can’t postpone a pest infestation. A pest infestation during the COVID-19 outbreak is quite an inconvenient time to deal with an already stressful process. At Arceneaux Pest Control, our local pest control team is prepared to continue operating during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place mandate. You can rely on us to continue protecting your homes from damage caused by termites, insects, and rodents.

Essential Exterminator Services

Governor Edwards classified exterminators as essential service providers during the shelter-in-place mandate from March 23 through April 12. During this period, we will continue to provide external services for all customers who wish to continue receiving them. After all, how can you shelter in place, if your shelter has damage?

Previously scheduled annual termite inspections, termite treatments, and other exterior pest control services will remain the same. Of course, the safety of our team and customers is the most important consideration now and we will not perform any interior pest control services. We are also reducing our contact by limiting all payments to online bills or via mailing.

Signs Of An Infestation

We understand if you are hesitant to call right now, but budding infestations are nothing to take lightly. If you have a problem, we don’t want your home to be vulnerable. There are usually signs, including droppings, that your home is experiencing a pest problem. Generally speaking, if you see roaches, rodents, spiders, and insects inside of your home, give us a call. We can inspect the outside of your home and perform outside exterminations during the shelter-in-place mandate.

Take Extra Precautions

While you are hanging out at the house, you can be extra cautious to keep your home safe from pest intrusion. Roaches and other bugs are prone to messy and damp areas. Simple steps and check-ups around the home can make all the difference:

  • Vacuum carpets once a week
  • Avoid cluttering papers and magazines
  • Seal all food in air-tight containers
  • Watch bathroom and kitchen sink pipes for signs of leakage
